Jonathan Brawn trained in Ecology at the University of Lancaster and undertook a post-graduate environmental survey of Ilkley Moor, North Yorks. before taking a Masters degree in Landscape Design at the University of Manchester.
On graduation he joined Woolerton Truscott Landscape Architects in Cumbria where he was involved with a wide variety of projects of all types and scales including highway design, landscape planning, mineral working, housing, leisure, reclamation and commercial site developments.
After marrying he accepted the post of Principal Landscape Architect with Povall Worthington Architects in Liverpool where he was responsible for developing landscape consultancy work for the Liverpool, Manchester & Kendal offices including a £3M Computer Centre for Provincial Insurance and restoration proposals for the Stanley Docks in Liverpool.
In 1989 he established his own practice working initially from Chester and then expanding to new offices in North Wales from where the practice continues to operate. Committed to Continuing Professional Development he has since gained Computer Aided Design qualifications and has been a visiting tutor in Landscape Design for the CAD department at West Cheshire College, Chester.

Tina Brawn studied Geography at North Staffordshire Polytechnic before undertaking a post-graduate Landscape Architecture course at the University of Manchester from where she travelled to America to study for a Masters degree at the North Carolina State University.
Staying in America following graduation she worked in private practice and for the North Carolina Forest Service before returning to the UK to work in private practice gaining very considerable experience of large scale planning and design projects throughout the UK and overseas and becoming Associate in charge of Landscape Services in Chester before marrying in 1989.
In 1990 she left private practice to join Cheshire County Council Landscape Unit where she co-wrote a definitive guide to the design of school grounds for use in conjunction with the National Curriculum guidelines and has solely supervised a multi-million pound soft landscape contract for the largest highway scheme ever implemented by the Authority.
She has considerable experience of Development Control work in a County Authority having worked with the County planning officers on a variety of commercial, mineral and industrial planning applications.
In 2001 she was responsible for the design and implementation of the showcase Central Plaza at the Royal Horticultural Show at Tatton Park and became a full time partner with The Ark Company.
